Football Club
About Us
Country United Football Club is a regional (Country) club which primarily has its members coming from the townships to the West of Mackay and also the Pioneer Valley. These include Walkerston, Marian, Mirani, Eton, Eungella, Nebo and Homebush, just to name a few.
Our Club prides itself on being able to promote and provide a healthy, fun and competitive environment for players, parents and our supporters which is created by parent and player participation.
Wests League Club, Branscombe Road, Walkerston, is the permanent home ground for Country United Football. Our Junior Teams start with our Mini Roos – Under 5 to Under 11 in 2022 and Junior Competitive Teams (Under 12 – Under 16) before moving into our highly competitive Senior Teams (Premier Women’s, Division 1 Mens & Womens & Division 2 Mens).

Club Meetings
Meetings are held monthly at Western Suburbs Football Club on the first Thursday 6:30PM unless specified otherwise.

Weekly Training
Training is held for both Junior & Senior teams each Wednesday at Western Suburbs Leagues Club, Walkerston.
Junior Training
U5 to U11 – 3:30pm to 4:30pm
U12 to U16 – 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Senior Training
Men’s & Women’s – 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Junior Fixtures
Junior Games both Mini Roos & Competitive are played at Mackay Football Park located on the Corner Heath Road and Glenella Road every Saturday morning.

Senior Fixtures
Senior fixture games are played at both Mackay Football Park and various club fields. Game days are usually Friday nights or Saturday afternoons but do vary pending make up games, field availability and the draw. Competitive game results are required to be inputted each week into MyGameDay. The Draw can be viewed at Mackay Junior & Senior Draw 2022
Registration for the 2023 Season
Online registration at www.playfootball.com.au and will open in January 2023.
Register online with credit card payment or you can pay by direct deposit anytime (put invoice number as reference) or by cash at training days at Wests League Football Club fields. If you wish to go on a payment plan please contact treasurer@countryunited.org.au concerning the plan.
- New junior players need to bring a copy of their Birth Certificate.
Coaching in 2023
Country United are seeking coaches for our teams for the 2023 season.
Country United is a growing, family friendly club and we seek the services of suitably qualified, experienced coaches to help continue that growth. We are also seeking coaches and managers for our Mini Roo divisions.
The club is able to assist in training parents and players to improve their skill and attain their coaching accreditation at courses throughout the upcoming seasons.
